Ellen Cribbs Ellen had great success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2006 with two plays she wrote, directed, and produced (Seven Points for ‘Love’ and
Voices in the Dark). She has fond memories of advertising her shows on the High Street by playing games of Scrabble with passers-by on her massive Scrabble board, or having them write a message on her continuously growing “love chain.” Ellen is a published playwright who earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting at Ithaca College in New York. Since graduating from Ithaca, Ellen has worked for the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C. and moved to England to study at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
While at the Fringe in 2006, Ellen met her boyfriend, Charles, who was an audience member at her shows. The couple dated long-distance for a year (3,000 miles away!) until Ellen moved to England. This year Charles has produced “I Love You! And You… And You..” and will join Ellen in Edinburgh for the two-year anniversary of when they met (which also happens to be Ellen’s birthday). Ellen would like to thank Charles for his continuous support.[Read More...]
